Joining LENSER in 1999, Todd Miller brings a decade of multichannel marketing and business analytics experience to both LENSER clients and circulation department staff. Recently promoted to Director of Circulation, Business-to-Business Markets, Todd manages much of this newest consulting division at LENSER and oversees client circulation. Business-to-business is a more layered and nuanced practice than business-to-consumer. Keenly aware of just how complex, fragmented, and dynamic this marketplace can be, he is well-positioned to help LENSER clients grow and strategize for optimal return on investment. Specializing in database marketing and business analytics during his seven year tenure at LENSER, he has contributed to the success of many catalogers from a wide range of merchandise categories including apparel, equestrian, wine, outdoor optics, children’s toys, and general gift. Todd continues to play a key role in each company’s marketing department: strategic circulation planning, annual sales forecasting and budgeting, lifetime value and cost of customer acquisition analysis; even developing Internet marketing strategies and zip code penetration models – you name the function, Todd is intricately involved.
Prior to joining LENSER, Todd served as the Database Marketing Manager for Sandvik Publishing (Bristol, PA), a Norwegian publisher of children's books. There, he managed the customer acquisition process, coordinated all aspects of prospect mailings, and produced purchasing and inventory management models. His experience also includes three years at Griot's Garage (Tacoma, WA), a consumer cataloger specializing in car care consumables, automotive tools and garage accessories. As their Circulation Manager and Database Analyst, his wide-ranging responsibilities included data mining for all departments; implementing sophisticated merge/purge, outside list selection, and house file segmentation strategies; forecasting overall and individual product sales; and catalog copy editing.
Todd graduated in 1995 from the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, WA) with a BA (Phi Beta Kappa) in English. Todd is a frequent speaker at the Annual Conference for Catalogs and Multichannel Merchants (ACCM) and other direct marketing forums. He is a frequent contributor to Multichannel Merchant and other industry publications and contributes regularly to the LENSER Newsletter. This year, his favorite topic is the interaction of traditional print marketing strategies with the opportunities provided by new media.
